The Munrow Family

The following comes from a book by Albert Davis ("Dave") Munrow entitled Pure and Applied Gymnastics (1955). The photos from it came via someone calling themselves Sarah. They are believed to be the three members of the Munrow family. At the top ofcourse, the young person on the left is believed to be David Munrow. The following pics of the same woman are probably his mother Hilda who used to teach dance, and at the bottom Albert Davis ("Dave") Munrow who was a well-known, and respected PE instructor. Incidently, one of my contacts claimed that he was always worried whenever his son went rock climbing!!
I may try, or not to get some better reproductions of the images presented.RS

  1. He appears to have been an "only" child - have you read his last will and testament?

    1. Yes, he was an only child. I have read something of his will which was actually published in the Times if I recall correctly. In it he lists a number of male friends and two female ones to receive monetary bequests from his estate. Whether what I read was the full will I do not know. I suspect not and there was no reference to his wife if I recall correctly.

  3. Thank you...received your pdf on Munrow's Will. What I do not understand is that what I saw in the Times is different and certainly not as detailed as on the one you sent. Anyway, maybe it is best to leave this subject alone. It is not particularly pleasant.
